We offer a variety of appointments and clinics.

Our experienced reception staff will be happy to assist getting the right help you need if you wish.

Telephone Appointments

Simple medical questions can be answered over the phone by one of our doctors. In this case our receptionists can arrange a telephone consultation for you. If calling in the morning this can be usually arranged on the same day. If calling on an afternoon then the telephone consultation can be set up for the next working day.

Doctor Appointments

Appointments may be booked in advance, and are available on the day if the problem needs urgent attention. It is possible to request telephone advice from a nurse or GP, please advise reception if you would like to be contacted about a concern. We try hard to meet the needs of patients requiring both urgent and ongoing care. We would advise booking in advance to see a doctor of your choice.

Home Visits

We can offer visits to patients who are house-bound. A visit is time consuming. Please contact the practice as soon as possible if you think you might need seeing at home. This helps us plan our patient care for the day. We appreciate patients making every effort to see us at City View so we can provide the best service from our skilled team.

Nurse Appointments

Nurse appointments may be booked routinely for a variety of conditions and health promotion including: Asthma, COPD, Hypertension, Cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, Family Planning, Women’s Health, Weight Management, Travel and Childhood Vaccinations, “Over 40” Health Checks. Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
